writing envy

I just finished Jodi Picoult's latest, Handle with Care. Sigh. How does she do it? She cranks out book after book, and they're all fabulous. According to my calculations, she published her first novel when she was 25 and has published 15 since. I just... wow.

There are some writers, such as Jodi Piccolt, who are just shining, unreachable stars to me. I can't read too much of their work or I get depressed! Have you read My Sister's Keeper or the Tenth Circle? Both brilliant.

I think writers like that are cyborgs.

Just sayin'.

Wow, that is crazy productive! I wish I could do a quarter of that.

Some people are born with amazing gifts that flow naturally. That's all I can come up with.

I have yet to read any of her books, although I constantly see them at bookstores/airports/grocery stores.

Confession Time: I have never read a Jodi Picoult.

But, she's on my list. :) I've heard amazing things about her.

My husband just mentioned her the other day. I've never read any of her books. Looks like I'll pick one up...

I know I see the rate that some writers on Verla's write and it just blows me away. I wish I were even half as productive...
